Snack
Snack time is an easy way to build classroom community. Beginning on Monday, September 17, we will be utilizing a snack calendar throughout the year to designate which day your child should bring snack with him/her. When it is your turn to send snacks to school, please send enough enough for 19 students. If the provided snack is non-perishable, we will store extras in our classroom snack bucket. Otherwise, extra snack will be sent home with your child on the same day. If you are UNABLE to participate in our monthly snack calendar, please let Mrs. Sheriff know.
It is important to fill up our children’s little tummies with healthy snacks. Unhealthy snacks will NOT be passed out, so be mindful when considering your child’s snack day! The only exception is on your child’s birthday snack day.
Healthy snack options: apple slices, applesauce, bananas, blueberries, carrots, Cheerios, cereal, fruit cups, grapes, jello, clementines, popcorn, pretzels, graham crackers, granola bars, raisins, strawberries, teddy grahams, Triscuits, Wheat Thins, cheese crackers, watermelon, trail mix, cheese sticks, yogurt tubes, etc.
