My name is Colleen Sheriff. This is my third year teaching at Brooks Museums Magnet Elementary! I grew up in Urbandale, Iowa where my family still resides. I graduated from Central College in Pella, Iowa with my BA in Elementary Education and endorsements in Reading and Early Childhood. I taught kindergarten and first grade over the course of five years in Newton, Iowa. I completed my Masters in Educational Administration from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. I have lived in Raleigh for two years, got married last summer and I love making Raleigh my new home!
My name is Sharon Ravenscraft. The kids call me "Ms. R." This is my second year at Brooks, having been at Douglas Elementary for three years. I am the proud mom of two high schoolers, John and Owen, and a dog named Lucy. I have lived in Raleigh my entire life, except during my college years at Wake Forest University. In my spare time, I love to watch soccer and spend time with my extended family, who all live in Raleigh. I am looking forward to working with Mrs. Sheriff this year, and helping her teach your child.
My name is Courtney Wagoner. I am a senior at North Carolina State University, originally from Elon, North Carolina. I will be working closely with Mrs. Sheriff this year, as I approach student teaching for the spring semester. Teaching has been a lifelog dream and I am excited to spend this year in kindergarten with your child!
